Monkeys Audio (.ape) Format Support Would be much appriecated, I currently use XMMS with a plugin, but it frequently crashes.... It's a versatile lossless format, and support would definetely make me switch to xmms2 :)

FWIW, I was involved with creating an XMMS1 plugin for Monkey's Audio. One outstanding issue with including the plugin with the main XMMS distribution is licensing. MAC's license is "not GPL compatible". Matt (Original Monkey's Audio author) has stated his intentions on the MA forums and his intent seems to be along the lines of the LGPL. So this is not a fundemental problem, but until someone can get Matt to release the code under a more official license, it most likely won't be included with XMMS. (ddopson at gmail)
